I don't remember exactly when I became interested in photography. I do remember when I was about 11 years old I would hang a bed sheet in my parents' living room, make an attempt at a lighting set up with table lamps and dress my little sister up and take pictures of her with my mom's point and shoot camera.
My interest in photography continued (my sister survived) and I decided to study art in college. I earned a B.A. in Art from Belhaven College concentrating in both photography and graphic design.
I've come a long way from bed sheet backdrops and a point and shoot camera, although I am constantly learning and refining my skills.
I love documenting the emotions and personalities of people and events and creating works of art from those images.
